Live Music @ Rootz: RayDen

Raymond & Denise form the musical duo RayDen, known for their evenings full of familiarity, warmth, and coziness.

Raymond is a versatile guitarist with years of experience and an impressive repertoire of musical styles. Whether it’s pop, jazz, blues, or a touch of Latin, his playing adapts effortlessly and gives each song its own unique color.
Denise is an expressive singer with a powerful and warm voice capable of handling almost any genre. From soulful ballads to swinging evergreens, she always manages to touch the audience.

Together, they bring well-known songs to life with their own unique touch, creating a vibe where people immediately feel at home. Perfect for intimate performances, cozy evenings, and musical moments that leave a lasting impression.

Live Music @ Rootz: Serge Solo

Serge Naberman, known as guitarist-singer of Najib Amhali, PlusSupportAct, Mooie Meneren and Rebelstar, now also available solo with a Pop/Rock Top 2000 repertoire.

Some people go into music for the girls. Serge, however, started performing in front of the mirror with a plastic guitar at age 8. Not old enough to realize girls at the front of the stage would be a bonus, but not too young to know music would be his first true love! Hits like “door de wol geverfd”, “sporen ruim verdiend” and “podiumbeest” barely cover it. He entertains people with covers of legendary artists and where possible, with his own work. Not born on stage, but it is certainly his home…

Live Music @ Rootz: William Smulders

We are proud to announce that one of the best Dutch rock ’n’ roll artists will perform at Rootz, a performer who turns every show into a musical celebration full of energy, recognition, and quality.

Singer-guitarist William Smulders has been a familiar name in the Dutch live music scene for over thirty years. His warm voice, virtuosic guitar playing, and timeless sound make him an artist who connects generations. Known from SBS6, TV appearances, radio interviews, and numerous big stages, William guarantees authenticity, musicality, and an unforgettable live experience.

He has shared the stage with international icons such as Wanda Jackson, Linda Gail Lewis, and Chris Montez and is praised for his craftsmanship and unique interpretations of rock ’n roll, evergreens, and modern classics. From theaters and festivals to casinos and intimate venues, William fills every setting with warmth, energy, and character. With around 150 performances yearly in the Netherlands and abroad, he is among the most in-demand artists in his genre.

Live Music @ Rootz: Bhodi

Willem Bodhi is from the summer of 1969. Born in Harderwijk, raised in Gelderland, grown up in the Randstad, now living in The Hague.
He reached the charts with the band Bodhi with the songs SEASONG and Upside. Later he made an album with Barry Hay of Golden Earring.
He continued as a solo artist and collaborated with various session musicians. His performances mainly solo, with an acoustic guitar.
Bodhi’s shows are known for the intensity of his playing. "The goal is for people to forget everything, enjoy the music, and then go home."

Live Music @ Rootz: The Locals

The Locals were born out of passion. Singer Saskia van Oeveren (known from Caroline & Friends and Road Trippin’ & Adam’s Family) and singer/guitarist Koen van der Meer joined forces to play well-known songs with their own twist. Classic pop & rock songs are performed acoustically, with occasional surprises. Their set is a journey through time and memory, from Eric Bogle and Paul Weller to Coldplay, U2, Beth Hart, Prince, Billy Joel, Van Dik Hout and The Police. The Locals play not to show off their skills, but to share music. Enjoy in a relaxed atmosphere, where music lifts you out of the day and makes familiar songs feel new again.

Live Music @ Rootz: Alex The Piano

Alex de la Haya sits behind the piano with one goal: to bring back a touch of old-fashioned coziness to the audience! He does this with piano entertainment like at a piano bar, where the audience can request songs.

Rock'n'Roll, Pop hits, Disco classics, Dutch songs, guilty pleasures—you name it! Alex performs year-round at various piano bars and piano-oriented concepts across the country, but The Hague remains his hometown.

Live Music @ Rootz: Cablehouse

The spirit of British blues from the 1960s is brought back to life with CableHouse! Founded in 2023 in the Cable District in Delft, this international ensemble offers an unforgettable musical experience.

Chicago grooves, Texas shuffles, and Boogie beats—swinging and captivating, played with passion and feeling. Keeping the blues alive! The band offers a mix of old blues standards, original material, and a hefty dose of energy on stage.
